After many years working as a gardener I have built up a large database of plant, shrub and tree knowledge, understanding individual plant species behaviour and habit, season of interest, and what they like or do not like. This knowledge helps to choose the right plants for the right place, and ensure they will thrive in those conditions.

I offer Planting Plans, which are to scale drawings of the border in question, and has exact locations of the plants and shrubs I have chosen for the space, along with a list of the plant species, and what plant pot size is needed when buying. Before these drawings are drawn, I will visit the site to assess the environmental conditions of the space and listen to your needs, style and colour preferences. I then come back to you with moodboards and seasonality charts of the chosen plants to confirm you are happy before drawing up the plans. This can be a collaborative process, or you can leave the process entirely up to me to choose what is best based on your preferences. This service is for anyone who doesn’t want to change any major aspect of their garden, but is unsure of which plants will work best in their space. Plants are what makes a garden come alive, and they can soften the hard landscaping with the right choice of plants, and make the garden a place full of colour and scent. From my experience I have found many people waste their money buying plants on a whim, without thoroughly thinking through what conditions this plant needs. I can help you invest that money into a long-term and low maintenance garden where you want to spend your time enjoying it.

After the plans are drawn, I can then offer the following subsequent services;

Acquire quotes for you from trade plant nurseries

Arrange delivery and be present on arrival to check the plant quality is up to standard.

Set out the plants when they arrive in the place for them to be planted.

I can also plant the plants if this is required.
